2020 Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences

The 10th annual Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences (Mid-SURE) will be Tuesday, August 4, 2020 to Monday, August 10, 2020.

Mid-SURE 2020 will be an asynchronous, virtual event consisting of pre-recorded poster presentations of less than 5 minutes in length. Presentations will be visible to the public from August 4th - 10th.

Student presenters will be asked to provide an unlisted YouTube link for a voice over PowerPoint of their poster presentation.  These presentations should consist of one PowerPoint slide, lasting no more than 5 minutes.  Presentations are due by 11:59 PM Eastern on August 2nd.  Only those presentations received by the deadline and approved by mentors will be shared during the virtual symposium.

MSU undergraduate researchers, visiting students participating in MSU summer research programs, and students from regional institutions are eligible to present at the Mid-Michigan Symposium for Undergraduate Research Experiences (Mid-SURE). Students (and recent graduates) registered for UURAF 2020 are also eligible to present at Mid-SURE 2020. This event provides an opportunity for students involved in research and creative activities at Michigan State and select institutions to share their work with their peers, faculty, and external audiences.

Mid-SURE represents a collaborative effort between the Undergraduate Research Office, the Graduate School’s Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP), the College of Engineering’s Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (EnSURE), the BEACON Center for the Study of Evolution in Action, and the MSU Research Education Program to Increase Diversity in Health Researchers (REPID).
